This is a US based site directed by Bryon Powell. The goal at iRunFar.com is provide readers with the best possible information regarding trail running and ultramarathons anywhere. They provide a mix of timely news, race reports, gear reviews, editorial insight, and other resources. One of the most useful resources on iRunFar is its community of readers and their contributions. Those comments are chock full of insight from coaches, race directors, industry insiders, and professional runners, not to mention all the other readers with their breadth of experience.

Ian is creative director and host of an ultra running podcast called Talk Ultra. It covers ultra running throughout the world bringing news, reviews and interviews. The show is available every 2 weeks 'for free' on iTunes and talkultra.com. In addition to this Ian is a photographer, writer, reviewer and blogger at iancorless.com. Ian is currently travelling the world capturing stories from some of the most iconic ultras on the planet.
Much like iRunFar, except DogsorCaravan.com has a distinctive Asian, particularly Japanese, focus. This blog is written by Koichi Iwasa, an ultramarathoner and hiker, based in Tokyo, Japan. This blog is a resource of trail running and hiking in Japan, as well as having the aim of introducing international running events and interests to Japan.

Trail Run Magazine is Australia and New Zealand's only trail-dedicated zine production with a focus on all things trail running here and in the shaky isles. The free online magazine, produced quarterly, along with a regularly updated website, is impressive - the writing and graphic design is second to none. Trail Run Mag covers in depth features unearthing the community core and characters of the trail running scene, plus trail guides, gear reviews, inspirational photography, event previews and reviews and trail commentary. It is managed by Shona Stephenson and features interviews with Australian runners; from the elite to the weekend warriors and back of the packers. It also has recipes for hungry runners, race reviews and great gear reviews. Oh, and of course you can also read all about Shona's crazy adventures!


The main purpose of CoolRunning Australia is to provide the sort of information that grassroots runners would want from a running web site in Australia : the latest race calendar, race results, news articles, contact details for every running club, links to other running web pages, and a place to meet and discuss with other runners. The forums are a very popular feature and you will find runners talking about all sorts of things from runners knee to what lubrication works best; track races to ultras and has a reputation as a friendly and helpful community.

iRun.org.au is a dedicated resource from Running Australia, aimed at continually promoting recreational running in Australia. This website will provide race directors and the hundreds of thousands of participants with information and tools on the Australian recreational running scene.
